Peer advisors will advise only freshman students who are declared, interest, minor or changing their major to a CHSS major. Peer advisors will help freshman navigate through the core courses and be able to get 30 hour holds removed. Peer Advisors will operate on a walk in basis only, not by appointment. Freshman walk in advising will be available on the following dates and times:
Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
The Undergraduate Advising Center is staffed by Peer Advisors from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. If you are interested in becoming a Peer Advisor, qualified candidates must have a 3.0 or higher GPA. When a Peer Advisor positions is vacated, we send out applications and job descriptions to all qualified candiadtes in that major.

My name is Jaclyn Gehrsitz, and I am a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Applied Statistics & Data Analysis. I am currently a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and the Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement. I am still making up my mind about what I plan to do with my degree, but I am interested in Developmental Psychology and Gerontology, as well as mental health. I would love to live in Italy after school to pursue a teaching or writing career. I have a passion for learning about the Italian culture and also aspire to become fluent in the Italian language. I am a junior working on a double major in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I plan on attending Law School after I graduate. I am involved with several organizations on campus. I am currently the Captain of the KSU Mock Trial Team and I am involved with the Pre-Law Fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta. I do not have a great deal of free time but I like to read and watch Criminal Minds and Suits when I have time to spare. I hope to see you for advising soon!
Hello. My name is Esther Osim and I am a 3rd year majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Crisis Preparedness. I plan to attend law school after graduating and becoming a less dramatic version of Olivia Pope. Until then, I stay involved on campus with organizations such as the African Student Association, Team TakeNoLs, the Women for Woman Society, the Pre-Law Club and Mock Trial. I am a junior majoring in Anthropology with a minor in African and African Diaspora Studies. I am involved with several clubs here on campus such as the African and African Diaspora Studies Student Organization or AADSSO which I am currently the co-president of as well as others including Honors club, Golden Key, NAACP, and Non-normative Anti-assimilationist students of Kennesaw State. I enjoy spending my free time exercising, reading, playing the guitar, learning new things, and doing anything that gets me outside into nature.
Hello my name is Patrick Ho. I am a Political Science major here at Kennesaw State University, with a pre-law track. After graduating from KSU I am hoping to be able to attend either law school or graduate school as I will also be pursuing for a Ph.D. in Political Science. In my free time I love to swim as that was my sport for most of high school, but now it’s more recreational. I am also a member of the National Honors Fraternity of Phi Sigma Pi of the Epsilon Nu chapter and I serve as their President.
